Why you're not losing fat — even though you're “eating healthy”
If you’ve ever thought:
"I don’t get it. I eat healthy all week — but I’m still not losing any fat."

I see this all the time — both with new clients and in my own experience before I learned how fat loss actually works.
Here’s what my ‘healthy’ days used to look like:
Celery juice for breakfast (because I heard it was “good for your gut”)
A falafel salad for lunch (that must be healthy, right?)
A handful of nuts around 3pm (healthy fats, obviously!)
Then I’d get home, absolutely starving, and demolish dinner... sometimes even going back for seconds because "I’d been good all day."
Sound familiar?
The truth:
Healthy food doesn’t automatically equal fat loss.
Fat loss still comes down to your overall energy balance — no matter how ‘clean’ or ‘whole’ your meals are.
Even the best intentions can stall results if these sneaky mistakes are happening:
Common patterns I see in clients:
Eating “healthy” but underestimating portion sizes (olive oil, nuts, avocado — the calories add up fast)
Avoiding carbs like pasta or bread entirely, leading to bingeing later
Eating far too little protein, which leaves you hungry and slows progress
Skipping meals or under-eating during the week, then going all-in on the weekends
Getting stuck in an all-or-nothing mindset: perfect during the week, off the rails on the weekend
The fix:
The solution isn’t cutting out more foods or doubling your workouts.
The key is learning to:
✔ Understand your true intake — especially with portion sizes
✔ Build meals that hit your protein target
✔ Stop aiming for perfection and start aiming for consistency
